India had another solid day with the bat against the West Indies in the first IND vs WI test in Ahmedabad.
India had another dominating day with the bat on day two of the first test against the West Indies Cricket Team. They took complete command of the game and now would be eager to win the match on the third day itself to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
KL Rahul (100) and Shubman Gill (50) begin the proceedings on day two as India resumed at 121/2, trailing by 41 runs. The duo batted flawlessly and added 98 runs together before the Indian captain played a false shot to gift his wicket.
Rahul then went on to slam his second ton at home and then perished just at the start of the second session. After his wicket, the onus was taken completely by Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja as they were all over the opposition with their brilliant batting.
Both the batters went on to hit a ton with Dhruv Jurel slamming his maiden one and Jadeja his sixth. The duo added 206 runs partnership for the fifth wicket. While Jurel got out for 125, Jadeja remained unbeaten.
Jadeja was at 104 off 176 balls, while Washington Sundar (9*) was there in the end. At stumps on day two, India were 448 for five, leading by 286 runs.
