Hailing from Mizoram, Lalruatthara began his footballing journey in the youth setup of Chandigarh Football Academy in 2010. He joined Luangmual Football Club, an amateur side from Aizawl in 2012 before going on to represent a semi-professional side from Aizawl known as Chanmari Football Club a year later. After two years with Chanmari FC, Lalruatthara joined Aizawl FC in the Hero I-League ahead of the 2015/16 season. The young defender will be hoping to further his development with Delhi Dynamos FC during Hero ISL 2016.
