Signing for the Hero I-League developmental side Pailan Arrows in the 2011-12 season, Shayan Roy made his debut in 2012 against Dempo SC, when the first-choice keeper Naveen Kumar was sent off in the 34th minute. He played a total of three matches for the Arrows before being picked up by Delhi Dynamos for the 2018-19 Hero ISL.
